Where has all the snow go?

It used to be winter in January in our country, but there is none. We drove to the western part of Slovenia to show snow to our youngest boy and to find joy in skiing as we did last year. We were proud f him, he was brave and quite proficient. Here are some pictures taken with my phone (not best quality):

Cookie cutters

My mother collects them. She bought bunch of them in Ikea, but when we entered a baking shop in Klagenfurt, Austria and when she saw whole wall of cookie cutters she screamed! Can you imagine her joy? She bought another bunch of them. Too bad her oven is out of order!

I need to show her this wreath!

Saint Nicholas

Tonight we'll get a secret visit: St. Nicholas will come to us with some gifts.
We met his kind and unkind companions today and my older son was very scared of the unkind ones.
He hopes they will not come to our house!

Birthday party for my 5 years old boy

The cake was decorated by my son, the main theme were pirates, as you can see.

These are rainbow fruit and vegetables sticks.

And this is the present:

the pirate ship, of course ...

and today this big boy started to ride a bicycle with no help! I am so proud!

Another beautiful autumn day

It is autumn. You can walk around the capital with your eyes shut but the smell of the roasted chestnuts will lead you to the stand where you can buy them.

And later that day I took my older son to an event, there were several workshops and we took some funny photos. He is my child with mustache.

I found this blog with two of us in the picture while choosing paper to make paper boat earrings for me.

Another beautiful autumn day

Picking horse chestnuts. My son (15 months) and my grandfather (97 years).

And at the City museum. This week the entrance is free for families.

And this knight is posing as a hero.

Summer at the sea side

This is my lavender bush.

Lavender is my favorite flower and herb.

Figs are not ripe yet. But pears are already :)
