New school year ...

... starts tomorrow, Sept 1st. Also for my boys (both in kindergarten).

Wishing all of us a wonderful school year, lots of credulity, many beautiful and accomplished projects and also lots of assimilated knowledge.

I will teach handwork in classes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. A lot of knitting, crocheting, cross stitches, sewing and felting. I hope I will be able to post how we progress in work.

New wool for cross stich

Sheep ball

Not many words are needed today. We have spent a sunny day at Jezersko, at the 53rd sheep ball.

I have met Ladka. She made this beautiful wool using plants to dye with.

and me and my son made felt balls, using wool, soap and our own hands. We liked it a lot, will try it at home too. 

Finding clayfish

is a big thing. It is rare in our waters but we were lucky. 

And a black squirrel showed us that hazelnuts are ripe and we picked and crushed and ate them. 

New books arrived yesterday

Three new books just arrived. I have ordered them at the Bookdepository, it offers free shipping worldwide.

After work knitting

After work knitting - even during holidays. It was nice being among knitting friends, talking the same language and admiring neighbor's project, perhaps even learning something new.

New wool arrived

Plant dyed wool for class 1 - isn't it beautiful? 

I have already made some gnomes, it is soft and vibrant, very nice to work with it. And it is affordable, which is important, too. Germany sheep gave us the wool, growing at biological farm and no metals salts were used in the process of dyeing.
