8th grade - slippers

  1. I am trying to figure out your measurments and how you got them! I think I get it, but maybe can you explain more? I tried this last year with my students, but I must have gotten something wrong because we had problems with fitting....

  2. First of all, you outline your foot (red colour)and you divide the length of it in three pieces (27:3=9). Then you draw a perpendicular line to the red foot at the bottom of it and you transfer 1/3 of the lenght of the foot to the right and to the left. You add 3 cm (a little more than 1 inch) to the left and to the right on both sides, on the second third of the lenghth of your foot you draw curved line - where your instep meets the slipper. And on the top of the foot - by the fingers aou add again around 3 cm and draw new curved line. This is the "shell" of the becoming slipper and protects your fingers. I hope I have hepled you, if you have more questions, feel free to ask :)
